Sarah bortis

Trainer at CITYPILATES

How did you get into Pilates?

I had my first trial class at Citypilates in 2021 and was instantly hooked. During my several-month journey through Australia, I continued to explore this newly discovered passion and had the opportunity to experience classes in some leading studios. Since then, I can’t imagine my fitness routine without Pilates.

What do you like about Pilates?

I love everything about it. The balance between dynamism and relaxation, strength and mobility, structured and intuitive movement. After a Pilates class, I feel calm yet strong in a way no other workout gives me.

Why did you become a Pilates trainer?

I love working with people. Bringing a smile to someone’s face and supporting them on their journey towards better health and wellbeing is one of my greatest motivations.

What is special about your Pilates teaching style?

A strong flow is key for me – so that a class feels like 10 minutes instead of 60. I value a holistic approach where we strengthen the entire body, find moments of calm, and still challenge ourselves with demanding exercises. Most importantly, everyone should have fun.
