JULIE CLERC
Trainer at CITYPILATES
How did you get into Pilates?
Chronic pain caused by scoliosis first led me to Pilates, 10 years ago. What started as a personal journey soon became a passion. Experiencing the physical and mental benefits of the method inspired me to help others move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free.
What do you like about Pilates?
I love the precision and intelligence of the method. Pilates teaches you to truly understand your body while improving strength, posture, mobility, and overall health. It's one of the few forms of exercise that enhances both the way you feel and the way you move, while also creating a lean, toned physique.
Why did you become a Pilates trainer?
As I started doing Pilates & Yoga 10 years ago, I first did a few subs here and there when my instructors were sick or on holidays. My initial goal was simply to learn Pilates for myself. However, immediately after completing my teacher training 3 years ago, I was offered a teaching position by my trainer. I never expected to enjoy teaching as much as I do, and it quickly became my main profession. Today, I combine my passion for movement with my background in Digital Marketing & Communication to continue growing and sharing Pilates with others.
What is special about your Pilates teaching style?
My classes are creative, dynamic, precise, and well structured, with a smooth and enjoyable flow. I focus on developing not only strength but also mobility, coordination, balance, and body awareness. I love challenging both the body and the brain by incorporating neuromotor and coordination drills that improve movement quality and control. Every class is designed to be supportive and empowering while helping clients move with greater confidence, efficiency, and ease.
