WHAT BROUGHT YOU INTO PILATES?

I appreciate any kind of mindful movement experience ranging from restorative practices to different type of dances and sports. Just a few years back I landed in a very engaging Pilates class, which felt completely refreshing for my body and mind… and that was the spark!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT PILATES?

At first, I was impressed by the lean muscles of the practitioners, but in time, I realized that I enjoy Pilates so much because it is a deep work on centering, focusing, looking more inwards, which is really needed in our speedy “on the edge” lifestyles. Moreover, Pilates is giving a very healthful foundation for any other kind of movement experience.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A PILATES TEACHER?

Because I like it very much! Being an instructor really got me out of the comfort zone. It is amazing to work with people and also see healing sometimes happening because of movement and my intervention.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR TEACHING?

Centering and progressing. I usually work on a flow sequence that incorporates stabilization, active movement, while keeping the focus on specific goals for the class. I enjoy discovering different progressions of the Pilates exercises.
