WHAT BROUGHT YOU INTO PILATES?

15 years ago, I purchased a set of DVDs featuring Mari Winsor (Pilates Trainer of the famous). Little did I know my Pilates journey had just begun.

 

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT PILATES?

Pilates is a series of movement exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, posture and stimulate a connection between body and mind.  All of these components gave me the physical strength and confidence I needed to get myself involved in sports such as: scuba diving, yoga, climbing the half Dome in Yosemite, rock climbing, stand up paddling, mountain biking, skydiving and now skiing.  Pilates has been a life changer for me and I love sharing my Pilates passion with my clients to help them do the same.  

 

WHY DID YOU BECoME A PILATES TEACHER?

Back in 2006, I discovered a new Pilates studio in my hometown and I was introduced to the Pilates reformer for the first time.  Shortly after my first routine on the reformer, Cindy, the owner of Fuerza Pilates, suggested for me to become a Pilates trainer.  Next thing I know I signed up for the Pilates teacher training. My first time teaching Pilates was in the year 2008.  Since then, teaching Pilates has been incredibly rewarding and fun.  My favorite part is when clients come back to tell me how stronger they feel after doing Pilates.

 

WHAT's SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR TEACHING?

I have a dancing background from being a ballerina at a very young age, and then practicing Hula dancing for six years from the age of 11 years old.  I love teaching pilates with exercises that get clients to move their body, improve their balance, and feel strong.
